SPS automotive performance – Porsche Sports Cup Germany at the Nürburgring

With unusually high temperatures for the Eifel the Porsche Sports Cup Germany at the Nürburgring from July 9 to 10 was the third race weekend of the year. Team SPS automotive performance from Willsbach brought a total of 3 vehicles to the traditional racetrack to compete in different racing series.

In the Porsche Super Sports Cup Nerijus Dagilis (Lithuania) in a Porsche 911 (991) GT3 Cup (2015) started in the two races in class 5e. The first race on Saturday he could finish with a 13th place (class). In the second race he could cope better with the vehicle and after a great fight he scored an excellent 9th place in the class and 16th in the overall standings.

With more than 50 participants the Porsche Super Sports Cup was extremely strong. A fact that also felt Greg Ross (Australia) in the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport when he couldn’t avoid a collision in the tight field at the Saturday race what leads to a damaged car. On the Sunday race he was able to participate with a replacement vehicle and could finish at the end on P15 in the class 2f.

In the rounds of the PZ Trophy Manfred Bay launched in a Porsche 911 (991) GT3 (street version). In the first round at Saturday he placed 18th and at Sunday 8th.
