SPS automotive performance @ Circuit Paul Ricard

From May 5th till 7th the Hankook 24h race takes place at Paul Ricard – Le Castellet. Also in this race the SPS automotive performance Team from Willsbach/Germany shows up with their Mercedes AMG GT3 in class A6-Pro … is this a remake of Red Bull Ring? The successful and experienced cockpit of car #24 of the 12h race in Austria – the swiss trio Alexandre Coigny, Iradj Alexander-David and Richard Feller – in France is completed with Tom Dyer from US.

Free practice sessions result in Top 5 for SPS. Qualifying gives a safe start from P5, i.e.: 3rd row – amazingly near to pole!

On Saturday the chequered flag of the 4th round of this long distance series drops down at 14:30 and after 1,5 hours of race the SPS GT3 defends P7 in the overall ranking. All first stops as expected run amazingly smooth and during the following exciting 5,5hours of race car #24 fights its way up to P5.

A not self-induced accident brings the GT3 to his knees … will mean: into the box! Rapid analysis and evaluation of the damage show the bitter result: irreparable – we are out.
Annoying is rather not the matching word with the team thanks to amazing performance having reached at this time a good fifth place just a stroke away from P4 and P3 … But that is what race life is like!

But let’s take to positive out of it:
Once again, the team SPS automotive performance demonstrates that it always plays a decisive role in the fight for the front places. After the race is before the race!

And the next is already upcoming:
On May 27th, 2017 it is Belgium calling, to be more precise Spa-Francorchamps, for the 2. Run of the International GT Open!
