SPS automotive performance all set up for the 12 Hours of Paul Ricard

Circuit Paul Ricard is the next stop for the SPS automotive performance team. This weekend, the Willsbach-based team lines up at the 12 Hours of Paul Ricard, which forms part of the Creventic 24H Series. Steffen Görig, Christian Hook and Valentin Pierburg will be at the wheel of the #20 Mercedes-AMG GT3 at the circuit in the south of France.

SPS automotive performance will once again be making a guest appearance at round three of this season’s Creventic 24H Series at Circuit Paul Ricard, having successfully entered many races in the endurance series in recent years.

Sharing the driving duties in the red #20 Mercedes-AMG GT3 will be Steffen Görig, Christian Hook and Valentin Pierburg (all GER). Görig will be making his debut for SPS automotive performance this weekend. He has been racing in many GT series over the past few years and lined up at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2020. Hook was at the wheel of an SPS automotive performance Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the GT World Challenge Europe and the International GT Open last year. Pierburg has been racing for the team from Willsbach for many years and will contest the full 2021 season in the GT World Challenge Europe with SPS automotive performance.

The lights go green at the French Grand Prix circuit at 10:00 local time on Saturday.

Stephan Sohn, team principal SPS automotive performance: “We are pleased to be a guest of the 24H Series again. We have already done some testing at Paul Ricard this year, and want to use that experience to achieve a good result.”
