Podium finish for SPS automotive performance at the Red Bull Ring

SPS automotive performance celebrated its first overall podium of the season at the fifth round of the International GT Open at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. Reece Barr (IRL) and Mikaeel Pitamber (RSA) drove the #20 Mercedes-AMG GT3 to third overall in Saturday’s race. With fourth and sixth place in the PROAM class, Dexter Müller and Yannick Mettler (both SUI) in the sister car #54 collected further championship points.

Class podium for SPS automotive performance at Hungaroring

At the third event of the International GT Open at Hungaroring, Dexter Müller and Yannick Mettler (both SUI) scored another podium finish in the PROAM category with third place in the #54 Mercedes-AMG GT3 under the CBRX by SPS entry. The young driver duo Reece Barr (IRL) and Mikaeel Pitamber (RSA) also earned valuable championship points with sixth place in the sister car #20.

Unlucky race weekend for SPS automotive performance in Spa

At the second event of the International GT Open in Spa-Francorchamps, SPS automotive performance remained without points this time. Reece Barr (IRL) and Mikaeel Pitamber (RSA) in the #20 Mercedes-AMG GT3 fell out of the leading group due to an unforced incident in the early stages. The sister car #54 under the entry CBRX by SPS with Dexter Müller and Yannick Mettler (both SUI) were also unable to join the fight for the points after an early puncture.
