An eventful weekend at the Porsche Sports Cup in Spa-Francorchamps

In the fifth race weekend of the year on the Formula 1 circuit in Spa-Francorchamps more than 210 Porsche vehicles were to be found on the entry lists of the different racing series and driving events. The Porsche Super Sports Cup presented a record starting field with a total of 58 participants. Team SPS automotive performance from Willsbach started with 4 Porsche cars at the track in the Ardennes.

In the two rounds of the Porsche Super Sports Cup Nerijus Dagilis finished on P24 and P28 out of 58 starters. In addition, he took part at the Porsche Sports Cup Endurance race on the same vehicle, a Porsche 911 (991) GT3 Cup, together with his brother Nemunas. During the race they were on the way to the top places when their car unfortunately was overlooked in the pits by a Porsche Cayman what resulted in a heavily damaged wishbone. Due to the time-consuming repair they could reach number 32 at the end.

Also Sun Moodley (South Africa) in the second Porsche 911 (991) GT3 Cup started in the race of the Porsche Super Sports Cup. In the first race he finished 36th and 37th in the second race. He finished the Endurance race on P25, a better result was prevented only by a touch of a competitor what resulted in a start from the pit lane.

Both competitions were also joined by Greg Ross (Australia) in a Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport. He also did well in the field and reached number 25 and 45 in the two races of the Porsche Super Sports Cup, while he was driving on position 32 in the Endurance race.

Manfred Bay with the number 144 in the Porsche 911 (991) GT3 (street version) was happy at the trophy presentation of the PZ Trophy where he took places 7 and 14.

Overall a very nice Motorsport weekend at the Grand Prix circuit in Belgium, in which all the driver had their fun and all vehicles were perfectly prepared by team SPS automotive performance!
